THE chairman of the Household Textiles Association told a meeting that a shortage of mill workers in the county should only be solved by using Lancashire people.
He was speaking as the industry in the North West struggled to fill 6,500 vacancies. In a bid to fill the roles, non-British people were being recruited but the chairman said he was opposed to this policy continuing.
