Gangster flic Triads, Yardies and Onion Bhajees finally hits the big screen this month after impressive reviews at the Cannes Film Festival.
The film centres around the Holy Smokes crime syndicate who are based in Southall. The gang get caught up in a $6 million robbery from Heathrow Airport (sounds familiar). Hot on the trail of the missing money are rival Chinese, Jamaican and English gangs.
In the mould of various British gangster movies of recent years the cat and mouse chase is enthralling and very entertaining.
The film is set on the streets of London and has already been criticised for its violence but much of it is tounge in cheek.
Whilst it won't be on general release the film can only be seen at a select few independent cinemas across the country. Up north you can watch it in Bradford where it will be shown from November 21.
TRIADS, YARDIES AND ONION BHAJEES! (Once Upon A Time In Southall) (18) is produced by GhettoVision Motion Pictures and directed by Sarjit Bains.
