Many teenagers would consider starting their own business after university, according to new findings.

A survey carried out by Natwest Business Banking found 36 per cent of young people aged between 15 and 19 in the North West would consider setting up their own business when they finish university.

A third of those considering such a venture are proactively trying to improve their chances of success by studying with the specific intention of starting their own business. In the North West more independence (27 per cent), more money (53 per cent) and a desire to be their own boss (20 per cent) are the motivating factors behind youngsters wanting to start up their own business.
