BACUP produced their best attacking display of the season, scoring four well-taken goals.

Rhodri Giggs chipped the home side into the lead on five minutes following a good ball in from debutant Phil Baylis, then on 35 minutes former Chorley man Baylis got on the scoresheet himself.

Keeper Paul Horridge's long kick was well taken down by Giggs, who laid the ball out wide to Nicky Taylor and his cross to the far post was headed in by Baylis.

Shortly after half time, Giggs had to be replaced by Martin Peters due to slight concussion but it didn't disrupt Bacup's attacking fluency.

On 60 minutes the visitors pulled a goal back through Chris Pheiffer, but Stuart Telfer, then Peters hit back to make it 4-1 after 67 minutes.

The Bacup rearguard had been spectators for most of the afternoon until the final four minutes when the visitors gave the home side a fright by pulling two more goals back.
