Months have passed and we can see no end to the conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan.

As the truth emerges I feel our government has a duty to explain why they went to war. Everything has been brushed under the carpet and I feel we will hear very little of it when election time nears.

The reason so many of us are dischanted with politics is because it seems to attract 'yes men'. In our community as in others. This war had little to do with Muslims but more with the government having to string along to basic American ideals of finding new economic markets to explore.

In our town Jack Straw was not put under enough pressure by our Labour Councillors. They said they would resign but didn't. Why has the issue been forgotten so quickly. The councillors from other parties were more vocal but one has to think why? Because of the war or because they represented another party?
