BURGLARS took jewellery, electrical items and cash with a total value of more than £4,000 from a house in Padiham Road, Burnley.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the break-in and hope someone could identify some of the jewellery because several items are distinctive. The house is thought to have been burgled between 1.30pm and 5.15pm on Monday.

Among the items stolen were two silver Guess watches, a nine carat gold curb bracelet and chain, a gold engagement ring with three white stones and a nine carat gold ring with two dark stones and one white.
