A GRANDMOTHER who found pornographic photographs on her new camera card says the incident could have landed someone in trouble with the police.
Doreen Bond, 75, of Friar Court, Accrington, was shocked when the 27 images, including one of a naked woman in a shower, were found on her new Fuji sharp card.
She had received the card when she bought a £126 Polaroid digital camera from Argos in Plymouth, when she was visiting her son.
"I was trying it out and when my son tested the card to see if they had come out, this image of a girl with nothing on in a shower came up," said the pensioner. Then a few more came up. I was shocked."
After taking the camera back to Argos in Accrington on her return, Mrs Bond was visited by a representative from London-based Fuji, who took copies of the photographs and later sent her two new cards. The grandmother-of-four also received £150 in vouchers from Argos.
"What would have happened if I hadn't found them and they had found them in the shop when I took the card in to get prints," said Mrs Bond. "I would have died. They would have called the police. It could have been one of my grandchildren."
Aspokesman for the company said: "We are extremely disappointed that this has happened. Procedures are in place to ensure that used digital cameras are not put back into stock. If returned to the store, the camera is sent back to the manufacturer, not resold.
A spokesman for Fuji said: "As soon as we heard about it we sent someone to see the lady."
