BACUP Borough will be looking to build on Saturday's 4-3 victory over Abbey Hey when they host Holker Old Boys tonight.
The attacking play at the weekend thrilled manager Brent Peters, but he still feels improvement is needed in defence if his team are to overcome their NWCL Division One rivals in the first round of the Lancashire FA Marsden Trophy tonight.
Peters said: "On Saturday we played football like football should be played, with quick and intelligent link-up play.
"Our team play in midfield and up front was the best it has been all season, something that has been sadly lacking in previous games.
"The goals we conceded were woeful but once we get the defence sorted out we'll have a side that has quality throughout."
New signings Phil Baylis and Warren Gallagher, who made their debuts on Saturday, are ineligible for tonight's tie, as is Gareth Thomas as they haven't been signed for the required seven days.
