A FULL-ON rendition of Handel's 'Messiah' featuring a full orchestra of semi-professional musicians, choir of 100 singers and specially invited solists is coming to Lancaster at the end of this month.
Behind the big production to be staged in the city's Ashton Hall on November 29 is the Lancaster & District Choral Society.
It is two years since the choir last sang Messiah, although under previous conductor Betty Morrow, it had been performed annually for many years.
Now, John Perrin is bringing a new dimension to the singing of this established choir, who are all looking forward to a wonderful evening which they wish to share with as many people as possible
The choir will be joined by Julie Flanagan, soprano, and Matthew Minter, tenor, Diana Moore, mezzo-soprano, and Andrew Griffiths, baritone, for the one-night only performance.
Tickets are available now at £8.50 and £7 from the Cancer Research UK Shop, Market Street, Lancaster, and Lancaster Tourist Information Office. Or call 01524-846978,
