A CHARITY dinner dance held by a Leigh-based housing developer has raised nearly £10,000.
Around 350 staff at Redrow Homes attended the fundraising event at Haydock park Racecourse and the proceeds will aid treatment at a cancer centre at Clatterbridge Hospital on the Wirral.
It was held in honour of one of the company's longest serving employees Paul Lawton, who died earlier this year following a battle with the disease.
Money was raised through donations, raffles and an auction of items including an England shirt signed by Jason Robinson.
