THE Council for Voluntary Service (CVS) covering Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale has a new chairman.
John Lloyd, a retired sales director from Hapton, has taken the role.
The former independent councillor on Burnley Borough Council has served on several health committees and is the former vice-chairman of the Community Health Council.
Mr Lloyd, who is married with two children, takes over from Phil Clay, of Rossendale, who served ffor our years as chairman.
A new vice-chairman, retired teacher Margaret Parker, has also been appointed.
She is also the chairman of Burnley, Clitheroe and Pendle Victim Support, company secretary of Brierfield Action in the Community, and is a governor of Walter Street School in Brierfield and Townhouse Special School in Nelson.
