A COLNE park will soon be bursting with colour thanks to the help of 60 primary school pupils.
The children from Sacred Heart primary, in Red Lane, will help Pendle Council Park Rangers Service and the Friends of Alkincoats Park to plant 8,000 crocus bulbs next week.
The total is four times the usual amount, thanks to the volunteers' help, and the bulbs will be planted at various locations in the park.
Fred Stewart of Pendle Council's parks section said: "This number of bulbs will bring colour and beauty to the park."
