A RECYCLING project in Colne has been awarded one of the top 10 prizes in the British Urban Regeneration Association (BURA) awards.
The Open Door project, which recycles unwanted furniture and domestic appliances to people who cannot afford to furnish their homes, achieved a highly commended award.
Trustees, staff and beneficiaries from the charity collected the prize at a ceremony held at the House of Lords in London earlier this week.
Project manager, Mark Clegg, said: "
"This award proves that a real difference can be made to the quality of people's lives in Pendle and that regeneration can happen when the community works together."
