A COUPLE symbolically representing Mary and Joseph' are visiting homes in Hoddlesden this Advent, spreading the Christmas message of love and peace.
The figures from the crib at St Paul's Church will be travelling around, staying overnight at different homes.
Prayers are said at each home as friends and neighbours are invited to join in the Advent celebrations.
The Team Ministry of St. Peter's Darwen, says making room for Mary and Joseph in homes is symbolic of making room for Jesus in hearts, homes and communities.
The figures will return to the church in time for the Crib Service at 4pm on Christmas Eve.
