AT last it is the turn of part of the Nova Scotia area of Blackburn to be redeveloped and not before time. This was the most neglected area of the town and the buildings that were constructed in later years had only a short term life span.
There is now a bigger problem however -- the road system that encircles the site at the moment is a nightmare. And there is also at the front of the big complex the dual carriageway on Bolton Road -- the A666! This bit of road seems unique for we see a dual carriageway turn itself into a single carriageway.
