A BANNED driver has been sent to jail for five months after magistrates told him he had "flagrantly disregarded," court orders.
John Wayne Taylor, 21, of Regent Street, Haslingden, was convicted of driving while disqualified allegations when he appeared at Burnley magistrates court.
He also admitted breach of a community punishment order imposed for driving while disqualified.
The justices told him he was a persistent offender and had committed three similar offences in a nine month period.
Bill Rawstron, defending, said Taylor had been "controlling" a car across the road and intended to take it no more than 50 yards.
