A FESTIVAL of Rossendale Life is being planned by the latest Strategic Partnership group - Confident Communities.
The initiative has been set up to give community organisations a direct link to councils, NHS, police and other public bodies.
Organisations will be able to influence, and take part in the new projects being designed to improve the quality of life in Rossendale.
Community Action in Rossendale, which already has more than 100 members, is the lead organisation developing Confident Communities.
Confident Communities is planning a Festival of Rossendale Life to be staged at Alder Grange High School on February 21 from 10am to 10pm.
A meeting to finalise plans for the festival is being held at the Astoria, Rawtenstall, on January 14, at 5pm.
Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting. For more information contact Irene Kay on 01706 229330.
