REJUVENATED Rossendale United are hoping to make it third time lucky at Guiseley in their FA Trophy second round replay tonight.
After the sides drew 0-0 at Dark Lane, the original replay at Nethermoor was fraught with problems for Dale right up to its postponement after 35 minutes with the score at 1-1.
It rounded off a frustrating night for manager Paul Lynch and his side, who arrived at the ground late when they were held up on the M62 before the heavy fog ensured the journey was wasted.
But following their 2-0 victory over UniBond Division One leaders Matlock Town on Saturday, Rossendale will skip cross the Pennines in buoyant mood tonight.
Lynch said: "Matlock are top of the league and we battered them so we've nothing to fear tonight.
"We just have to start picking up wins against the lesser teams. We've beaten the top teams so it's time we played like that in every game and this is a massive one."
Lee Duffy, signed on loan form Rochdale, was instrumental in Saturday's win, but will miss out tonight because new signings have to be made more than a week before cup fixtures to be eligible.
Apart from Duffy, Lynch will name an unchanged squad from Saturday, including one of the goalscorers, Steve Cunningham, who has recovered from injury and Lee Cryer, who played for the first time since returning from Ramsbottom.
The winners of the tie will be at home to UniBond Premier Worksop Town in the third round.
Great Harwood Town are back in cup action tonight with a Division Two Trophy quarter-final replay at home to Winsford United.
