MORECAMBE captain Stuart Drummond is set to return to help the Shrimps' promotion push.
A knee injury, which required six weeks in plaster, has kept the influential midfielder out of action since early October.
But Drummond is making a good recovery - and was back in boss Jim Harvey's plans with a place on the bench at Woking last Saturday.
"He's fine and on course. Originally he was hoping to be back at Christmas or possibly the New Year, so he's a couple of weeks ahead of himself," says delighted Harvey.
"He is very important to us. He has been a big loss and it will be a tremendous boost."
Drummond, 27, has started 169 Nationwide Conference games for Morecambe since coming through the club's youth system.
His experience will be invaluable as Harvey's side looks to cement a place in the end of season play-offs - starting with this weekend's home clash with Halifax Town.
