VILLAGERS in Tockholes will be keeping their fingers crossed for an early Christmas present when their first bonus ball-style lottery draw is made this month.
The village hall committee has organised a Cash Cow draw which all villagers have been invited to take part in.
And the scheme is proving so popular there is already a waiting list of people who live outside the village who want to participate. People have been asked to pay £24 for a full year up-front, with all profits going towards the village hall committee funds to pay for events and future developments in the village.
Ninety balls of five different colours will go into the draw with the first number drawn winning £50.
The second ball out will be a bonus ball and if it matches the same colour as the first the lucky winner will receive an additional £40. Organisers are hoping to hold the first draw before Christmas.
