THE weather hit the league programme hard on Saturday with only five games taking place.
One of the matches to beat the conditions saw Bedford Rangers beat Wakefield Villa 3-1 in the Under 16s section.
Newcomer Kyle Spiller grabbed a debut hat-trick and claimed the man of the match award. Steven Meredith and Mike Young were also outstanding for Bedford.
Steve Baxter got a consolation goal for Villa whose best player was keeper Martin Crudden.
Results: U11s - Culcheth Athletic 3, Monks Sports 'A' 0. U15s - Lowton Wanderers 5, Monton Amateurs 6; Hindsford Bandits 6, Hindley Youth 0; Standish Juniors 12, Culcheth Athletic 2. U16s - Bedford Rangers 3, Wakefield Villa 1.
