TYLDESLEY RUFC minis entertained Leigh and Broughton Park at Astley Street.
Broughton Park under 10s were too strong and scored three tries without reply.
But Tyldesley u10s gained a satisfying long awaited win over Leigh. Having conceded an early try Tyldesley fought back bravely. Jordan Newton equalised on his debut and Robert Wilcock's try put Tyldesley ahead. Leigh equalised but in a pulsating finish Tyldesley's Adam Prendergast stole the glory with a last minute touchdown to seal it 15-10.
The under 11s suffered a heavy defeat against Leigh. Tyldesley's only score came from newcomer Joe Lowe's pass to star player Laura Riches.
Tyldesley u12s lost quite heavily but never dropped their heads and made Leigh fight for victory. James Hilton was MOM.
Against Broughton Park, Tyldesley u14s did well in a game which could have gone either way. With several newcomers in the side Tyldesley showed promise and had Park worried showing a spirit which earned them the lead. But defensive lapses cost them the game.
