YOU might not like Mondays: but that's no reason to miss school!
Musician and Live Aid organiser Bob Geldof gave Bury South MP Ivan Lewis his backing in the latest drive to tackle truancy.
New technology will allow schools to contact parents by 'group message texting' within minutes of their children not turning up for school.
Mr Lewis, minister for vocational education and skills, said: "In addition to discussing our shared commitment in tackling truancy, it was a privilege to hear Bob's views on our future relationship with Africa. His idealism and commitment to practical action should be an inspiration to us all."
