FYLDE'S answer to Jonny Wilkinson has won a major national award for his skills with the boot.
Stand-in skipper, Mike Scott, has won the National Clubs' Association 'kicker of the month' award for November for achieving 80 per cent accuracy with his kicks.
The fly-half, who joined the club this summer from Kendal, has achieved an 80 per cent success rate and notched up 119 points in 12 games for his new club.
Scott had previously scored more than 700 points during three years with Kendal and earned a call-up to the English Counties squad which toured Chile in 2002 after performing well for the Cumbrian county side.
Fylde's first team manager, Steve Rigby, said: "We are very pleased that Mike has joined the club and delighted he has won this award.
"He is a highly experienced playmaker, a very reliable goal kicker and can play in more than one back position."
