LEIGH Harriers' stormed to double gold in the Greater Manchester Cross Country championships.
The host club saw Hannah Warburton win the girls' U13 event then watched Tom Boardman retain his Youths' U17 title.
Both will now go on to represent the county in an inter-counties match in Nottingham in March.
At Marshall Street Hannah took the lead over the 2500m course going into the second lap and was never headed, winning by a 9.36sec margin.
Second counter was Amy Riley who ran to a superb ninth in her first championship. She was followed home by Kristy Hogan in 24th to secure Leigh's third team place.
Tom started his 4000m run slowly and worked his way to the front in the last half of the race to retain the title he won last year.
Mike Goddard finished 10th and Alex Urmston 12th to give the team silver.
In her first race of the season Anne Powell was narrowly beaten into fifth in the senior ladies' event over 6000m and Sarah Cain, suffering a cold, was 20th.
In the U15s' 3000m girls' race sisters Rebecca and Lauren Howarth ran neck and neck to cross the line in 15th and 16th in the same time of 13min 35sec.
Amanda Fearnley was 8th in the U17 4,000m which gives her an outside chance of selection to the county team. She was followed home by Emma Morris in 17th.
The boys' U13 saw Isaac McCann clock 10min 02sec for 15th over the 2500m course.
Phil Foster was Leigh's first counter in the senior 9000m in 12th and was followed home by John Howarth in 18th, Martin Conroy 36th, Andy Arnold 58th and Dave Helps 59th.
Leigh Harriers' Christmas Handicap takes place on Sunday at Lilford Park with the senior race off at noon.
