WHY vote? asks D Allen from Leipzig, Germany in your letters column.
Well, D Allen, you are not far from Bergan Belsen and Mathausen. I suggest you go and stand there and ask that question out loud and listen for the answer, because what you will hear is the silence of those who died under a system where suggesting a vote would get you murdered by the state.
However efficient or inefficient our councillors are they do a job the majority of us would think more than twice about. That's why I vote.
D PRATT (Mr), Plantation Street, Accrington.
