A NELSON charity shop severely damaged in an arson attack earlier this year has re-opened.
Pendle Mayor, Coun Mohammed Iqbal, cut the ribbon at the British Heart Foundation store, in Scotland Road.
Around 45 firefighters were called to tackle the blaze in July after arsonists broke in and started six fires on the first floor. The shop roof and all the stock was damaged.
Since then the shop has undergone a major refit and is now back in business.
The charity is appealing for people to donate items for the store and would also like to hear from anyone who can spare a couple of hours a week to help run it.
If you can help telephone the manager, Christine Osborne on 01282 616554.
