BLACKBURN Rovers are considering a possible link-up with Belgian First Division outfit Cercle Burges.

An agent working on behalf of the Belgian club has contacted Rovers about a partnership which would give manager Graeme Souness first option on Cercle's top stars, as well as enabling him to give his youngsters senior experience in Europe.

"It's one of a number of possibilities," said Rovers' chief executive John Williams today.

"There's an agent who works with the Academy and he's sent a proposition to Tom Finn and myself.

"We've been on the look-out for this kind of thing for some time.

"This one has got some possibilities."
