SO often I hear the older generation criticising youngsters for not caring and being selfish. Sometimes we need to remind ourselves that we were once young and full of energy.
I wish these grumblers could have been in Minden Parade, Bury, on Monday, December 15, when some youngsters put on a smashing Christmas show of singing and dancing. I am in my seventies and it certainly changed my mind about today's young people. The only sour note was that some of the shopkeepers were complaining about sales being affected, proving that Scrooge is alive and well.
I say thanks to these youngsters. It did me a world of good!
