POLICE are hunting a stolen van which has been used in a series of thefts.
The Ford Transit Van, registration MA03 FUP, was used for the fourth time overnight Friday to Saturday at Rose County Foods abattoir, off the A59 at Gisburn.
Two men were in the vehicle, which transported a £5,000 quad bike from the scene. One was described as 35 to 40, 5ft10in tall, and was wearing a blue jumper and blue trousers.
They entered the firm's compound and stole the Honda TRX 350 quad bike.
The van, stolen from Bury, had been previously used in similar burglaries in Burnley and Preston.
Police urge residents to be on the lookout and to call them on 01200 443344 with information.
