A STYLISH effort to transform a shop front into a winter wonderland has earned a salon a top honour.
The salon, shared by Antony and Patricia's Hairdresser and Ayesha's Nail and Beauty on Bank Street, Rawtenstall, won the Rossendale Chamber of Commerce's Best Dressed Christmas Shop Window Award.
Owners Tony Winder and Denise Marsden-Jenkins were presented with a £100 cheque by Michelle Ringland, Marketing Director of competition sponsors Lanes For Drains.
The runner-up was Sutcliffe's shoe shop and third place went to Age Concern.
Clive Balchin, Chamber of Commerce president, said: "The competition was a bit of fun but it also recognised the hard work that the traders in Rawtenstall have put into making the place an attractive one in which to do your Christmas shopping.
"Everybody has made a special effort this year and it was a tough decision for the judges."
