ACCRINGTON Stanley boss John Coleman is looking for nothing less than a 100 per cent return from the Christmas programme as his side prepare for two meetings with Lancashire rivals Morecambe.

The Shrimps come to the Interlink Express Stadium on Boxing Day, with the return at Christie Park on New Year's Day and, having taken three points from a 2-1 win at Leigh RMI on Saturday, Coleman is looking to lift that tally to nine.

"We go out to try and win every game, so we don't really set points targets," said Coleman.

"The target is to take three points every time we play, but we know that we have got two difficult games coming up.

"What we have got to do is start cementing our place in the upper echelons of the league.

"To do that, we have got to get points now and that will enable us to have a real go and try to make the play-offs at the end of the season."

Coleman could make changes for the Boxing Day meeting, though both Steve Flitcroft and Ged Brennan, who replaced the suspended Andy Procter and Rory Prendergast, impressed at Hilton Park.

Left back Steve Hollis could also be ready to return after recovering from a broken wrist. Jonathan Smith, meanwhile, may have to wait until the New Year for a recall following a knee injury.

However, the central defender was given an early Christmas present when a scan this week revealed the problem was much less serious than was first feared.

But whatever the line-up, as a former Morecambe striker Coleman is definitely looking forward to facing his old club.

"From a personal point of view I am loving the prospect of facing them in my own right as a manager," smiled Coleman.

"Though I left Morecambe probably about eight years ago now, I had a really great time there.

"When we go to their place it will be the first time I have been back for a competitive game, so I will enjoy that one especially."

Shrimps boss Jim Harvey also goes into the game on the back of a weekend win with goals from Terry McFlynn and Nick Rogan having earned the Shrimps a 2-0 victory over Halifax Town.
