IN the summer the Royal British Legion declared its support for the IsItFair campaign for the reform of council tax. In their November Legion Letter, distributed to every branch in the country, they published a copy of the IsItFair petition.

I am pleased to say that the response was enormous.

Literally thousands of signatures have been arriving daily from all parts of the country. Many branch secretaries on returning the petitions have asked to be kept informed of the activities of IsItFair.

In addition, many members intend to join the Council Tax Protest March in London on January 17.

We would like, through your pages, to thank all the Royal British Legion members for their support and look forward to seeing them in London.

Petitions must reach me by January 10 and will be available to download from our website: www.isitfair.co.uk until that time.
