FIREFIGHTERS were called to Atherton town centre on Christmas Day after a fire broke out on the bottom floor of a taxi office.
They were called to a taxi office on Market Street at 3.25pm and it took nearly two hours to bring the blaze under control.
Part of the taxi office and the drivers' rest room was damaged by smoke in the blaze.
A 53-year-old man was treated for smoke inhalation but declined hospital treatment.
Firefighters were still investigating the cause of the blaze.
