COMMUNITY Action in Rossendale (CAR) is looking for volunteers to come up with innovative ideas.
CAR is a not-for-profit charitable membership organisation, originally established to bring together community, voluntary and faith groups in Rossendale.
Through the Mary Hindle Resource, the registered office, based in Bury Road Haslingden, CAR has been able to increase the scope of its work.
It is now able to offer a range of facilities and services at affordable prices to community, voluntary and faith groups with restricted budgets.
Facilities include a resource room with modern offices including a colour and black and white photocopiers, laminating machines and binding machines along with free access to Funderfinder to identify grants for groups and a library of useful information.
Other facilities include an IT suite, meeting and training space, starter office space and a dedicated youth area.
Membership is free and Network Forum meetings are to be held on a bi-monthly basis.
If anybody is interested in becoming a member of Community Action in Rossendale contact Irene Kay or Emma Siddle at the Mary Hindle Resource Centre on 01706 229330 for a membership application form. Centre visits can also be arranged.
