POLICE in Bury are appealing for information after an armed robbery at a convenience store.
Two masked men armed with a large spanner threatened staff and stole cash in the raid on the Co-Op Late Shop, Vernon Road, Greenmount, Bury at 9pm on Monday.
One man told staff to hand over cash as the other jumped over the counter and forced the tills open.
The men then forced a member of staff into a back room and stole the contents of the safe. They left with cash in a white and grey stolen Rover 214. It was later found abandoned on nearby Longsight Road in Bury.
