A NINETEENTH century mill in Barnoldswick could be demolished.
Hope Mill, which is occupied by Hope Technology, in Skipton Road, was built in 1864.
An application for outline planning permission, which will go before Pendle councillors next week, proposes building houses on the site.
According to a council report, the company hopes to relocate to more suitable, modern premises and would achieve this by developing the present site.
Two letters of objection have been received by the council and Barnoldswick Town Council has also objected to the plans.
Officers are recommending approval of the application.
Councillors will discuss the proposals at a meeting of the West Craven Committee at the Baptist Church Centre, in Barnoldswick, at 7pm on January 6.
