WHEN you open your 2004 calendar take a careful look - you might know the pin-up staring out at you!
For friendly faces from behind the bar of two East Lancashire pubs have been picked as models of the month by a national pub chain.
The new calendars will be on display in JW Lee's pubs from the New Year and will include a manageress from Blackburn, and a barmaid from Chorley.
Mandy Finch, manageress of the Red Lion, Whitebirk Road, Blackburn, appears for December, and Miss January is Leanne Ward of the Halfway House in Chorley.
Mandy, 30, said: "My partner nominated me.
"I was very surprised when I got in, as I've never done anything like this before.
"The pictures are really good, I'm very pleased with them.
"I've even had to sign a few of the calendars for customers which is quite nice."
The Manchester-based brewer searched its pubs for the 12 barmaids, and picked the girls from hundreds of entries. So far the calendar has gone down well with regular drinkers.
Ian Joscelyne, 38, who drinks in the Red Lion every Friday, said: "It's very nice, Mandy looks very attractive.
"You always get a friendly welcome when you come here! I would definitely buy the calendar."
William Lees-Jones, managing director of JW Lees, said: "We produce a calendar every year but we thought we would do something a bit different and have some fun.
"We are delighted with the results and the girls look great. Who knows, we might even launch someone's modelling career."
