ORGANISERS of a massive event that attracted more than 30,000 people to East Lancashire are already planning their follow up.

And those behind the huge Balloon Festival are promising next year's event will be bigger and better than ever.

The show, which will be held in Burnley in July, will be the third such event.

More than 30,000 people were estimated to have visited last summer's two-day happening, held in Towneley Park.

Organisers have said 2004's attractions will build on the success of this year's event and will include a falconry display and an aeroplane stunt display team, alongside the regular hot air balloons.

Event organiser, Paul Howard, said: "The third festival will be even bigger and better than last year with a complete programme of events centred on the main hot air balloon arena.

"We have added an extra motorcycle stunt show, a falconry display and a jaw dropping aeroplane stunt display team, not to mention the spectacular sights of the hot air balloons."
