Huddersfield 1 Bury 0: SHAKERS have not won at Huddersfield for 40 years -- and Danny Swailes' own goal continued the jinx on Sunday.
Swailes deflected a Rob Edwards corner past Glyn Garner on the half-hour to send the Shakers to a seventh straight defeat.
Gareth Seddon missed several chances to equalise, but his team-mates were just as culpable in a disappointing performance.
Caretaker manager Graham Barrow was positive despite the defeat.
"I can't complain about the performance, but it's got to turn for us some time!" said Barrow.
"We showed great promise at Orient, put in a decent performance against Carlisle, but we did well for 90 minutes here and were unlucky.
"As long as we are creating chances, then I'm sure we will get some rewards."
Seddon should have given the Shakers the lead in the 12th minute but fired across the face of goal with plenty of time to fire past Huddersfield keeper Philip Senior.
He had the chance to make amends after Swailes' own goal, but scuffed his shot.
Terry Dunfield went close with a delicious 25-yard drive before the interval but Senior parried the ball away.
But the best of all the chances fell to Seddon in the 69th minute. He chased down a hopeful long ball -- but with Porter free in the box and only one defender in their way, Seddon blasted wide.
