THE speakers have been confirmed for a debate on fluoridation to be held in Rossendale.
Jane Jones, campaign director of the National Pure Water Association, will speak against the introduction of fluoride to the area's water.
Dr Peter Lucas, lecturer in bio-ethics at the University of Central Lancashire in Preston, will open the debate.
A representative from the Burnley Pendle and Rossendale Primary Care Trust will speak in favour of the move.
There will be a question and answer session, giving the public the opportunity to speak and ask questions.
The Fluoride debate will be held at the Astoria, Rawtenstall, on Tuesday, January 6, from 7.30pm.
A meeting of the Rossendale Council's overview and scrutiny committee is also being held on Thursday, January 8 in the Astoria, when members will decide the council's response to send to Lancashire County Council.
