METHODISTS in Summerseat are to have their prayers answered with a church building of their own.
A new single-storey hall on land adjacent to Summerseat Methodist Primary, off Rowlands Road, will replace the former church which was demolished around 30 years ago.
The building will also feature a high stone frontage and stained glass window featuring a cross design.
Councillors had originally deferred a decision on the matter so that proposals could be discussed with villagers and parents of children at the school.
Permission was granted at a meeting of Bury's planning control committee after previous objections were resolved.
