MAKE a New Year's resolution to use your European rights, says MEP Gary Titley.
"Whether it's a fair deal at work, consumer protection or a clean environment, people in Bury have clear rights under EU law," said the Radcliffe-based Labour MEP for the North West.
"If people run into difficulties on issues like these in 2004, I urge them to exercise their rights by sending a 'petition' to the European Parliament. Equally, if they think they have been the victim of maladministration by any of the EU institutions, they can make a complaint to the European Ombudsman."
Details on how to petition the European Parliament are in a booklet, available from Mr Titley's office at 16 Spring Lane, Radcliffe. Or email him at contact@gary-titley-mep.new.labour.org.uk2
