Accrington Stanley's 1-0 Conference defeat at Morecambe yesterday was marred by minor crowd trouble.

A police spokesman said: "There was a minor dispute involving six men fighting which was dealt with by the stewards and there were no arrests."

A spokesman for Accrington Stanley today said the fight had not affected the game.

Rob Heys, club administrator, said: "There were none of our spectators involved.

"I spoke to the groundsman at Morecambe and he said it was the Morecambe people fighting against themselves.

"It was over with in a minute and I don't think anybody really took much notice.

"It certainly didn't affect the game."
