BURNLEY boss Stan Ternent has sounded the rallying call ahead of tomorrow's FA Cup tie at Mansfield.
The Clarets boss rang in the New Year by insisting his side knuckle down to avoid an embarrassing defeat away to the Third Division promotion-chasers.
Ternent knows all too well that the Stags, managed by former England defender Keith Curle, will be itching to inflict more misery on his side.
Ternent warned: "If we are not absolutely 100 per cent committed and not ready for the game, we will lose it.
"We have to match Mansfield in every single position because they will fancy their chances."
Ternent, who is looking for a pick-me-up after four straight league defeats, added: "From a squad point of view, it's probably a good thing that we have a cup match because the league is more important.
"It's also good because Glen Little is out with a hamstring injury and it gets another suspension out of the way with Arthur Gnohere.
"But a good result at Mansfield will help from a confidence point of view. We will get a break soon or later and win a game because we are capable of stringing four or five wins together like most sides in this division.
"But first we need to win a game and Saturday represents the next opportunity. That's why it's so important to us."
The Stags earned their crack at Burnley by beating Second Division strugglers Wycombe in round two after a replay.
And Ternent admitted he always anticipated Town making up their tough third round opponents.
He added: "I expected it to be Mansfield not Wycombe and they are prolific scorers. But so are we and it should be an interesting game.
"Whatever way you look at it it is a very big match for us."
"We need to progress in the cup because we need the dough and also for morale, so it is a very, very big match for us."
Burnley are boosted by the inclusion of on-loan Blackburn defender Jay McEveley. Rovers boss Graeme Souness has granted Ternent permission to play the versatile 18-year-old, who could make his first start if the Clarets chief opts to shuffle his defence following a glut of recent mistakes that have cost league points.
Ternent has no fresh injury worries, while Mansfield are expected to be at full strength.
Burnley are reminding fans that tomorrow's game is all-ticket.
The Turf Moor ticket office will remain open until 4pm today to sell the remaining 800 tickets.
