TWO students latched on to the information superhighway and each won a raffle prize.
Janette Stonefield won a computer after she joined a Learndirect course at Bury College's Radcliffe Link IT centre and her name was entered in a free draw.
Betty Goldwater won £50 in vouchers after introducing her friend Lynn Mann, from Prestwich, to the centre.
Janette said: "I really wanted to be able to help my daughter at school and a friend encouraged me to drop into the centre to see what courses were available. Winning the computer is a bonus. Not only can I help Alicia with her school work but I can put my new skills in word processing and the internet to go use.
Betty has been studying at the centre since October and is currently getting to grips with the internet.
She said: "I really enjoy the flexibility and the friendliness of the centre."
The centre is based upstairs in Radcliffe Library, and offers courses for all ages in information technology, ranging from taster classes to advanced IT skills.
The draw was held as an incentive to encourage more people to join Learndirect courses. Radcliffe Link IT centre can be contacted on 724-7241.
