COUNCILLOR Derek Boden (Letters, December 5) had asked if the new supermarket would, or could, accommodate a library, yet he must be aware that we have a perfectly good library on Pinfold Lane, Whitefield, on a prime site for redevelopment! Is this why he would like Dransfield to incorporate a library in its proposed complex?
Incidentally, I do not attribute super powers to Coun Boden but he is in a position of considerable influence.
Former councillor Mrs Pam Walker (Letters, December 12) was not re-elected so when speaking on council matters it might be better if she referred to "the council" and not "we". Her comments also demonstrate yet again the arrogance of the council and the fact that individual councillors are determined to do their own thing, regardless of local opinion. It's the same arrogance that cost the Tories the General Election.
