STEVEN Paul Robinson threatened to slit his mother's throat during a New Year's Day fracas, a court was told.
Blackburn magistrates heard Robinson believed his mother and sister were conspiring with his girlfriend who was doing something behind his back.
And police called to the sister's Accrington address found him in an "agitated" state.
Robinson, 20, of Perth Street, Accrington, admitted a breach of the peace. He was bound over in the sum of £50 to keep the peace for six months.
Bill Maude, prosecuting, said Carol and Elaine Robinson, the sister and mother of the defendant, had called police after various threats had been made by the defendant using his mobile phone.
The police found him at the sister's address in York Street, Accrington, where he was kicking at the door, shouting and screaming.
The sister was inside with her two young children.
Andrew Church-Taylor, defending, said it was a situation as far as Robinson was concerned, where his family was conspiring with his girlfriend.
"They were trying to keep him in and he believes that was because his girlfriend was out and she was doing something the family didn't want him to know about," said Mr Church-Taylor.
