Radcliffe Borough 2 Bradford PA 0: CAPTAIN Danny Luker scored the first goal to inspire Radcliffe Borough to a much-needed Unibond Premier Division victory over Bradford Park Avenue.
The new skipper headed his side in front from a Richard Battersby corner to give Borough the lead in the 33rd minute.
New boy Josh Mitten hit the post just before half-time, but is was Radcliffe's defence who took the honours in the second half.
Goalkeeper Danny Hurst produced some fine saves to deny Park Avenue, with Luker and Neil Whitworth developing a good understanding in central defence.
Borough wrapped up the victory with 10 minutes left when Simon Carden volleyed in a cross from substitute Tony Whealing.
