A FYLDE man has died and his mother left fighting for her life after being involved in a head-on collision with a Ferrari in Hambleton over the weekend.
John Rossall, 50, and mother Mary, 76, were driving along Carr Lane, at Hambleton, when the accident occurred at around 12.10pm on Saturday, January 3.
It is believed their car, a Peugot 205, collided head-on with a Ferrari Medina driven by a 36-year-old male motorist in.
Mr Rossall, a farmer of Burned House Lane, Preesall, died at the scene.
His mother suffered serious injuries in the crash and was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital where she is described as in a "serious but stable" condition.
Mr Rossall's nephew, Edward Rossall, 6, was also travelling in the car at the time of the crash.
He suffered "non-life-threatening" facial injuries and was allowed to go home after being treated by paramedics at the scene.
Both cars have been written off.
